CHNC challenge extra for January 2014

Happy New Year and Welcome

Please click here to see the winner of CHNC challenge extra for December.

This challenge will last for the whole month of January - anything goes as long as it's Christmas - it doesn't have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it's Christmas!

Welcome to the second year of CHNC challenge extra. When I started these monthly challenges a year ago I had no idea how popular they would become. I am so grateful for all the support I have received over the last twelve months and I hope that this coming year will be one when we see many lovely Christmas creations shared by you talented crafters.

Now that Christmas 2013 is over, please don't put away your Christmas stash - make as many cards etc as you can now to avoid panic later in the year. Perhaps you can make it a New Year's resolution.

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - a winner will be randomly chosen using random.

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge - they are offering $21 of digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps   at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT   for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug

I am so excited that I am now joined by my Design Team

They are introduced here. Please click on the link to get to know them and please visit their blogs and leave them comments. I am thrilled to be joined by all these talented ladies.

All digital stamps used were kindly supplied by our sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps

Using 'winters fairy'

Every month I will be still joined by a Guest Designer and for January I am pleased to welcome Gail Scott. Gail is a regular contributor to my challenges and I'm thrilled to have her as my guest for January. Please visit Gail's blog and leave her some comments.

Gail writes:

'I am Gail Scott, a paper crafter who is married to the love of my life, Richard Scott. We live in the Winter/Water Wonderland State of Michigan ~ USA

I started my blog in August of 2012. Blogging has been a wonderful adventure for me in the world of crafting. Not only have I been introduced to various crafting supplies and stretched to learn new techniques, I have met many creative crafters from all over the world. In addition, I have been blessed by the encouragement I have received from the positive postings to my blog from the many visitors that stop by. Blogging in the crafting world is a very courteous route to travel.

I enjoy creating Christmas cards all year long and find crafting a very relaxing hobby. I am honored to be the Guest Designer for this month.'

For her first card, Gail has used 'leaping reindeer' - you can read more about it here on her blog:
For her second design card, Gail has used 'got cookies' - more about this on her blog here:

You may add any Christmas creation for this challenge -
it's 'anything goes' every month, as long as it's Christmas

There really aren't any rules as such - just have a look at what I've written on the right hand sidebar and join in! You may link as many entries as you like as long as they weren't blogged before 1 January 2014.

Weekly challenges will continue on my CHNC challenge blog - these usually have a theme - but anything that you enter there can be entered here as well, so you increase your chance of winning a prize.

These are my cards for CHNC challenge 157 which is now closed:

These are my cards for the current CHNC challenge 158 - now closed:

This is my card for CHNC challenge 159 - now closed:

These are my cards for CHNC challenge 160: shades of blue - closed now.

These are my cards for CHNC challenge 161 - please join in if you can - the challenge is open until 22:00 UK time Friday 24 January:

And, of course, you can chat about this monthly challenge extra blog on the CHNC facebook page as well - if you haven't joined that yet, please follow the link and 'like' the page.

I look forward to seeing all your Christmas creations - the more you make now the easier life will be when it gets towards November and December - it makes sense!

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual URLwhere your card can be found) by 20:00 UK time Thursday 31 January.  Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation. The winner will be announced at 23:00 UK  time on 31 January. February's challenge will begin at midnight on 1 February.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

I've started up a new challenge called Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - anything goes as long as you cover your card with patterned paper - a randomly chosen prize winner every month. Please click on the link to find out more. If you have used patterned paper in this way for your Christmas card, why not enter it there too. And please be aware that the new Patterned Paper Challenge is not restricted to Christmas - it is for any occasions.
