Introducing new members of the Design Team

First of all, we would all like to wish you

A Happy Christmas

If you are here to join in the December challenge please either scroll down or click here.

I am so pleased to introduce six new members of the team who will be sharing their crafting with us for at least the first six months of 2015. I am very happy as well that five of our present team have agreed to stay on for another six months - Heather, Helen, Renate, Rocky and Suze. We are very sad that we are saying a temporary farewell to Rose - we hope she will be able to come and join us again in the future. Thank you, Rose, for your friendship, loyalty and beautiful crafting - you will be missed.

So here are our new members:

My name is Brenda and I live in Novi, Michigan, although I'm originally from Durham in England. I've lived in the USA for just over 20 years now. I'm happily married to Andrew, we had our Silver Anniversary in May of 2014. I'm employed in the Engineering IT section of the worlds second largest car manufacturer at their Research & Development headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It's very busy and often very stressful so I craft as a way of creating beautiful things but also as stress relief after work! I love to make cards, especially Christmas cards and I love to knit too, I'm completely addicted to knitting socks for some reason!! Outside of crafting I love genealogy, music, camping, kayaking, mountain biking, car racing, driving about in our two old British cars and traveling. We tend to get long, snowy Winter's here but we embraced that too and now love to downhill and cross county ski. I'm very happy to be part of Hazel's team and look forward to working with you all.

I work part-time in a well known chemist, which I've done for 22 years (I'm 42 now so it's been my only real job). I'm married to Rich, and we have two great kids, one of each, aged 8 and 14. We have one cat, aged 16, and one pup , aged 7 months. I make cards for pure enjoyment for family and friends. I've been making them for about eight years now. I don't really stick to one theme as I like trying all sorts, but if I had to pick a favourite, it would be colouring Mo Manning stamps, and making easel cards. I'm lucky enough to have my own little craft room so I can go and tuck myself away whenever time allows.

I'm Lisbeth, born on May 24, 1970 and have been married to Dirk 19j together we have 2 children.Hanne of 15j and 14j of Koen. We live in the beautiful province of Antwerp (Belgium) in the heart of the Kempen (Malle). With my daughter, I am very busy with crafts ex. card making, but also crafts.

We have one dog family together .If we also like hiking. I started with 3D maps, but the last time I actually scrap only. Christmas cards especially cherish most.

I was hit by the crafting bug about 10 years ago when I became ill, when I was eventually retired early from work, craft became a lifeline for me. I started off my craft life with Decoupage but soon found a deep love for rubber stamping which expanded to include digi images, I have amassed a great number of both. I love to colour and design cards for family, friends and to share with other crafters by way of Blogging, Facebook and Twitter. I have had great honour and pleasure of serving on many challenge blogs over the years as a DT, I have found the experience has added to my life in crafting.

I have been into craft the whole of my life knitting sewing, embroidery and cutting pictures out of magazines to stick in my"Scrape" Book as I called it when I started school. My one regret was
that however hard I tried I could not draw, but this frustration was eventually solved when I found the world of stamps. I am also very lucky to have a very good friend who has a very large craft shop here
in Tasmania. I do make the odd srapbooking page but mainly now a days I prefer to make cards.

Hi, my name is Pauline and I live in Hampshire with my wonderful husband and two gorgeous sons. One year my husband gave me a card making book for Christmas and my obsession was born. I started my blog in 2011 to share my cards and enter challenges, I have made lots of wonderful friends all over the world and joined numerous design teams. I am really excited to be joining Hazel's Christmas Challenge Extra team.

I feel so blessed to be joined by so many talented and creative ladies.

CHNC challenge extra for December mid-month

It's hard to believe that this is the last posting of designs for this calendar year - this has gone amazingly quickly - yes, it really is true that the older you get the quicker time seems to go! I am so grateful to members of my team for taking time to create some mid-month inspiration for our December challenge. You can see the original post at the beginning of the month here and join in with your entries. We have so many so far and hope that there will be even more before the end of the month. And don't forget, don't pack your Christmas stash away ... because we will be back on 1 January with the first challenge of the new year when we will be asking you to make your Christmas creations early!

And very soon, I'll be introducing six people who are joining our Design Team for the first six months of 2015, along with five of our present team who are staying for another six months. Sadly, we will be saying a temporary farewell to Rose, who has been on the team for 2014 - we hope she will be back with us again in the future and thank you, Rose, for your wonderful creations and your friendship and loyalty as a team member.

Design Team Call outcome

Please scroll down for the December challenge or click here

We had such a wonderful response to the Design Team call. I had said that I would choose two new members, but, with the help of my present team, I have chosen six new potential Design Team members to join us.

These ladies have all been regular participants in the challenges right from the beginning of the blog. Once I have heard whether these ladies wish to be members of the team, I will introduce them.

Thank you so much to everyone who applied.

CHNC challenge extra for December 2014

Please click here to see the winner of CHNC challenge extra for November 2014.
It's worth checking because it might be you!

This challenge will last for the whole month of December- anything goes as long as it's Christmas - it doesn't have to be a card, you can link any project as long as it's Christmas!

I'm sure that most of us still have Christmas cards and other creations to make, so I look forward to seeing your entries.

Once again this year, all of these monthly challenges are being generously sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps - a winner will be randomly chosen using random.

Bugaboo Stamps are proud to sponsor this challenge - they are offering $21 of digital stamps to the randomly selected winner.

Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing!  From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects.  Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps   at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT   for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug

Here is the lovely inspiration from the Design Team

All digital stamps used were kindly supplied by our sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps

The team have made gorgeous creations - please click on the links to their blogs to read more about their projects.
You may add any Christmas creation for this challenge -
it's 'anything goes' every month, as long as it's Christmas

There really aren't any rules as such - just have a look at what I've written on the right hand sidebar and join in! You may link as many entries as you like as long as they weren't blogged before 1 December 2014.

Weekly challenges continue on my CHNC challenge blog - these usually have a theme - but anything that you enter there can be entered here as well, so you increase your chance of winning a prize.

And, of course, you can chat about this monthly challenge extra blog on the CHNC facebook page as well - if you haven't joined that yet, please follow the link and 'like' the page.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for this challenge - please add a link to your blog post (not your blog, but the actual URLwhere your card can be found) by 20:00 UK time 31 December.  Please mention my blog and create a link within the post for your creation. The winner will be announced at 23:00 UK  time on 31 December. January's challenge will begin at midnight UK time on 1 January 2015.

Please add your link to inlinkz. If  by any chance it disappears, please leave a comment with the link to your blog post and I will make sure it is added.

If you haven't done so already, please become a follower and grab my bright pink button to post on your sidebar and help continue to spread the word about this challenge blog - thank you.

At the beginning of the year I started a new challenge called Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - anything goes as long as you cover your creation with patterned paper - a randomly chosen prize winner every month. Please click on the link to find out more. If you have used patterned paper in this way for your Christmas card, why not enter it there too. And please be aware that the new Patterned Paper Challenge is not restricted to Christmas - it is for any occasions.
