Everything That You Ever Wanted to Know About Bugaboo Stamps: A Short Essay
As if raising five children in the frozen land of the North was not enough of a challenge, Jodie Mackrell decided to dip her cold little Canadian toes into the world of papercrafting by opening an online store full of her illustrations. That was two years ago. Today Bugaboo Stamps is one of the leading companies in digital images, and we're still growing! From seriously snarky to sugary sweet to sublimely soulful all the way over to the other side of the super sexy spectrum, you're bound to find all that you need and more to create your paper projects. Jodie works very hard to provide New Releases and Freebies every week!
If your taste runs to rubber (and you know who you are), you can find Bugaboo Stamps at Totally Stampalicious. And finally, join the Bugaboo Stamps DT for weekly challenges at Catch the Bug. Every month I will be joined by a Guest Designer and for April I am pleased to welcome Helen.
Helen writes: 'I'm an addicted cardmaker and I love stamping and using Promarkers. I've been making cards for many years and am lucky enough to be on the Design Teams for Little Claire, Pink Gem, Card Creations Plus and Nutcrafters as well as being part of the team on three challenge blogs. I work as an Activities Coordinator for my local Abbeyfield Society covering a residential home and two sheltered housing blocks. At weekends I also teach workshops for Little Claire. A big thank you to Hazel for letting me be part of the challenge for this month!'
Helen's first card uses the 'Deacon Christmas - elf presents' kindly supplied by Bugaboo Stamps:
For her second card, Helen used A'VA Christmas - candy cane', another image from Bugaboo Stamps.
Thank you, Helen, for joining me as a guest with these lovely cards. Please visit Helen's blog here and leave her some comments.
Another card from Helen - you can see it on her blog here:
Two more lovely cards from Helen - you can read about them on Helen's blog here:
For my first card I've used the 'winter birds skate' image from Bugaboo Stamps (although I decided to cut him out so he no longer has his skates - lol!). The background papers I've used are from the digi papers 'frosty', also supplied by Bugaboo Stamps.
For my second card I used 'little penguin winter skate', another Bugaboo image, with papers from 'purple blue winter' with apologies to Bugaboo that one of my printer inks colour was running low and so purple printed out as pink! (but I rather liked it so decided to stick with it rather than waste the card):
Here is a card for my CHNC challenge 122: ribbons and bows - you can add your entry here:
You may add any Christmas card to this challenge
it's 'anything goes' every month
There really aren't any rules as such - just have a look at what I've written on the right hand sidebar and join in! You may link as many entries as you like as long as they weren't blogged before 1 April 2013.
Weekly challenges will continue on my CHNC challenge blog - these usually have a theme - but any card that you enter there can be entered here as well, so you increase your chance of winning a prize.
And, of course, you can chat about this monthly challenge extra blog on the CHNC facebook page as well - if you haven't joined that yet, please follow the link and 'like' the page.
I look forward to seeing all your Christmas cards - the more you make now the easier life will be when it gets towards November and December - it makes sense! At the start of every month (from January 2013) I will create a post with a linky for you to enter any Christmas cards that you make - the theme will always be 'anything goes' - you can use any materials, any techniques etc as long as the end result is a Christmas card.
Challenges will end at 22:00 UK time on the last day of the month.
You can enter as many times as you wish and also link to any other challenges that allow you to do so, but new work only, please.
Thanks to the generosity of Bugaboo Stamps there is a prize every month for a randomly-chosen winner.
